Yoga is the journey of the self,

through the self, to the self

The Bhagavad Gita

Yin Yoga is a quiet form of yoga where you switch off the daily rush for a while.  Through total relaxation, you bring your body and mind back into balance, allowing to restore and to recharge.

By adopting different poses (lying or sitting) and holding them for a longer period of time, you end up stretching your deepest connective tissue (fascia).

There is also extra attention to  breathing and calming your thoughts and mind.

By remaining still and turning inward, you become aware of your own body and your soul, a beautiful connection...

My clients experience:

On a physical level

  • Enhanced agility and mobility
  • More flexibility in the joints
  • Reduced back, hip, shoulder and neck issues

Mentally and emotionally

  • Feeling of deep relaxation
  • Better insight in the body, feelings and thoughts
  • By allowing your life energy to flow freely, blockages of emotions and traumas can be lifted

Approach

In person

No agility or flexibility is required. I work functionally and take into account the aspects of each individual body, providing a personal approach.

My Yin Yoga classes are accessible to everybody, age or experience is of no importance. I coach each person indivually, with detailed attention and ample time.

Insights

I apply  the principles and insights of the Five Elements (energetic qualities from nature with their connections and cycles) and Traditional Chinese Medicine (meridians and importance of a good flow of energy for the general health of the tissues and organs). With this I give you tools which can also be beneficial in your daily life.

Regularity

By regularly practicing Yin Yoga, you will discover your deepest self, the core of who you are and what you stand for.

You progress systematically and steadily, at your own pace. By turning inward with attention, respect and feeling, you tap into your self-healing capacity.  This way you stay healthy and you maintain full vitality throughout your life.

"Therapy"

My classes are structured in such a way that your entire body is covered: intense work around the hips and pelvis (the basis of our mobility), as well as the upper body, neck and shoulders, for a smooth flow of vital energy.

You will also experience the full spectrum of emotions and gain more insight in how Yin Yoga can work for you beyond the mat and let it become a philosophy.
